Qbit vs Bitly
How they compare.
Bitly is a link management platform best known for short links, with QR codes and simple link-in-bio pages alongside. Qbit is built around the page: a designed page with menus, events and forms behind every code, no monthly cap on changing where a code points, and branded QR design on the free plan.

Questions
Qbit and Bitly, answered.
Is Qbit a Bitly alternative?
Yes, for QR codes and the pages they open. Qbit isn't a link shortener, so if short links are your main job, Bitly is built for that.
Does Bitly limit QR code edits?
Yes. Bitly counts each change of destination as a "redirect", with a monthly cap by plan: 5 on Core, 20 on Growth and 110 on Premium. Its help center says each redirect also counts against your monthly link limit. Qbit doesn't cap destination changes.
Do Bitly free links show ads?
Bitly's help center says links on the free plan open a page with an ad before the destination. Qbit never puts its own ads in front of your codes; the optional first-scan promo is your own.
Are Bitly and QR Code Generator the same company?
Bitly acquired Egoditor, the company behind QR Code Generator, in 2021. Bitly says QR Code Generator is a separate product with its own accounts and pricing.
