Using folders and tags

Group resources by campaign, location, or client.

Ten codes and three pages fit in your head. Fifty don't. Folders and tags — both included with Premium and Team plans — keep a growing workspace findable.

Folders: group by project

The Folders section (your "Explorer") holds folders that can contain anything you build: pages, QR codes, media, themes, forms, and menus. Group by whatever matches how you work — campaign, location, client, season.

  • Create: Folders → New folder → name it.
  • File things away: drag items onto a folder, use Add items inside a folder, or select rows on any list page (QR Codes, Qbits, Media, Forms, Menus) and choose Move to folder.
  • Reorganize freely: each item lives in one folder at a time; move it whenever. Deleting a folder never deletes its contents — they return to the Explorer root.

Folders are flat by design — no folders inside folders — which keeps "where did I put that?" a one-level question.

Tags: label across folders

Tags are free-form labels on pages and QR codes, and they cut across folder lines. A code can live in the "Downtown Location" folder and be tagged spring-2026 along with codes from every other location.

  • Add tags on a page's Settings tab or a QR code's detail page — type and press Enter or comma. New tags are created as you type them.
  • Tag in bulk from the Qbits list: select rows → Add tags.
  • Use them: filter the Qbits and QR Codes lists by tag, or click any tag badge to see everything carrying it in one place.

A system that scales

  1. Folders for belonging — one per project, campaign, or client.
  2. Tags for themes — statuses and campaigns that span folders (print, spring-2026, needs-review).
  3. Names for searching — specific names make the global search (Ctrl+K / ⌘K) your fastest tool of all.

Set this up when you have ten items and it maintains itself at a hundred.
