Qbit

Supported media types

The file types you can use on pages and codes, and their limits.

Your media library holds two kinds of files, and together they cover everything a Qbit page displays.

Images

All common image formats are supported — PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and SVG. Images power most of the product:

  • Image elements on your pages
  • Menu item photos
  • Page and theme backgrounds
  • Social preview images (what shows when your page is shared)
  • QR code ads — the promo shown after a scan (Premium)

One special case: QR code logos (the image in the center of a code) are uploaded directly in the QR designer rather than picked from the library, and accept PNG, JPEG, or WebP.

PDFs

PDFs display in the PDF Viewer element — ideal for documents that already exist in print form: menus, price lists, event programs, spec sheets.

A tip from experience: if the content will mostly be read on phones, consider rebuilding it as a Qbit page instead of embedding the PDF. Pages reflow to fit the screen; PDFs make people pinch and zoom.

Limits

  • Maximum file size: 6 MB per file.
  • Library size: the Starter plan includes 5 media files; Premium and Team are unlimited.
  • Video isn't supported — for video content, host it on YouTube or similar and link to it from a button on your page.

One file, used everywhere

Upload once and reuse the same file across any number of pages, menus, and codes. Replacing a file updates it everywhere it's used — see Managing your media library.
