Qbit

Adding your own media

Upload images and files to use across your pages.

Getting your own images and PDFs into Qbit takes a few seconds, and there are two ways in.

From the media library

  1. Go to Media in the left navigation and click New media item.
  2. Under Upload a file, choose the file from your device (images or PDFs, up to 6 MB).
  3. The Name fills in automatically from the filename — edit it to something you'll recognize later, and add an optional Description.
  4. Check the live preview, then click Save.

The file lands in your library, ready to use anywhere.

While you're building

You don't have to leave the editor to add a file. Wherever you pick media — an Image element, a menu item photo, a background — the picker has an Add media button that uploads straight into your library and selects the file in one step.

Naming that pays off later

A library of files named IMG_4302.jpg gets painful fast. Two habits keep it useful:

  1. Name files for what they are: "Storefront hero photo", "June happy hour flyer".
  2. Use the description for context your future self will want: where it's used, when it expires.

Search in the media library matches names and descriptions, so what you write here is what you'll find things by.

Good to know

  • The Starter plan includes 5 media files; Premium and Team are unlimited.
  • Files are stored once and referenced everywhere — reusing an image on five pages doesn't count five times.
  • Prefer not to upload at all? Pull designs from Canva or grab free stock photos.
